Huskers Hold Off Creighton

The Nebraska volleyball team rallied from 11 points down and held off No. 13 Creighton in five sets (25-19, 24-26, 18-25, 25-13, 15-12) Sunday in front of a sold-out crowd at the CHI Health Center Omaha.

Li Sets Career Highs

Junior outside hitter Lexi Sun led the Huskers (4-0) with 24 kills and hit .313. Madi Kubik added 14 kills and Kaitlyn Hord had 10 kills for Nebraska.

Freshman All-American setter Nicklin Hames had 24 assists for Nebraska.

Creighton (3-1) was led by Jaali Winters, who had a match-high 28 kills. Keeley Davis had 12 kills, Kendra Wait had 11 kills, and Norah Sis had 10 kills for the Bluejays.

SMU Tops Baylor

In other volleyball news, SMU (3-1) upset No. 12 Baylor (3-1) in five sets (26-24, 23-25, 25-21, 19-25, 15-10) on Friday at Moody Coliseum in Waco, Texas.

Rice Delivers Career Performance

Senior outside hitter Claire Notestine led SMU with 17 kills, while freshman outside hitter Olivia Adams had 14 kills and junior middle blocker Ally Batenhorst added 10 kills for the Mustangs.

Baylor was led by Avery Skinner and Lauren Harrison, who each had 19 kills. Bella Brincks had 10 kills for the Bears.
