The Western Bulldogs are marching on to the preliminary final after stunning Port Adelaide with a 23-point win on Saturday night.

WEB Coniglio inspired a five-goal blitz in 10 golden minutes in the second quarter at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night as the Giants booked a preliminary final berth against Melbourne at the MCG next weekend.

The Power and Giants clashed in round 22 of the 2023 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, with Port Adelaide having won the previous encounter by 33 points.

However, it was the Giants who started the better on Saturday night, kicking the first two goals of the game.

Port Adelaide hit back with two goals of their own, but the Giants then kicked the next five goals to take a 23-point lead into half-time.

The Power came out firing in the third quarter and kicked the first two goals to reduce the margin to just seven points.

But the Giants steadied and kicked the next two goals to extend their lead to 15 points at the final change.

Port Adelaide threw everything at the Giants in the final quarter, but the visitors held on to win by 23 points.

WEB Coniglio was best on ground for the Giants, finishing with five goals and 22 disposals.

Toby Greene was also impressive for the Giants, kicking three goals and collecting 20 disposals.

For Port Adelaide, Connor Rozee was a standout, finishing with two goals and 25 disposals.

The Giants will now face Melbourne in the preliminary final at the MCG next weekend.
